wedding storyteller - real moments, real memories

Chateau Durantie Golden Hour

your wedding photographer in the South West of France

I'm a wedding photographer born in the UK but living in the South West of France since 2007 and during this time I've been fortunate enough to photograph hundreds of weddings in some of the most beautiful wedding venues in France. From elegant Manor houses in the Dordogne and Chateau weddings in South West France through to beautiful villas set in olive groves in Provence.

If you like the look of my work along with the way I approach wedding photography and you're looking for an English speaking wedding photographer for your wedding in the South West of France then I'd love to hear from you and hear all about your plans for your once in a lifetime French wedding celebration!

My photography style

Storytelling wedding photography is the phrase that best explains what it is that I provide for my clients. Reportage, documentary, photo-journalistic are other similar terms used for this type of photographic genre. Relaxed, natural photography of real moments and real emotions of you and your guests. The final collection of photos provides a visual narrative of your wedding days celebrations as they actually happened. Natural, classic, timeless and elegant photography, a set of storytelling images that will not only remind you of how you looked on your wedding day but also of how you felt.

Pictures though speak louder than words. Evidently the single most important factor in choosing your wedding photographer is to ensure that the style of their photography is something that you can connect with. Please feel free to browse through my wedding portfolios on this site. If you like what you see then great, let's arrange a call and chat.

My approach

There's no intrusion on your day, I photograph discretely anticipating when those special moments will unfold. My approach to wedding photography is to be a quiet observer to creatively capture those defining images of your wedding day in France. I'll be there as the preparations begin through to until everyones on the dance floor shaking it. I'll keep out of your way and let the day do it's thing and I won't be stopping you and interrupting what's happening. I'll just be making sure that I'm quietly getting in the right place at the right time to get those pictures. We can take a little bit of time together to take some relaxed wedding portraits of you both in and around the venue and we can take any group photos you may want without affecting the flow of the day and keeping people hanging around. After all there's a celebration going on!

My passion

My passion is for creating images that show the real emotions of people. For me there is a real strength in photographs that capture people and events as they actually are, as they actually happen. I always like to think that these are the images that in 20 or 30 years when you look back at your wedding day photographs they will bring that day back to life for you. Or, when your children or grandchildren look at the photographs they will be able to see their parents and Aunties and Uncles as they really were all those years ago; laughing, crying, hugging, kissing, dancing, singing.....just being themselves.
