Chateau Rigaud wedding story
Natalie and Tim had chosen the venue for their wedding in early May. It rained a bit but it really didn't matter. The vibe at the Chateau Rigaud is always one of calm and fun, this was a celebration and a bit of rain wasn't going to deter anyone from taking the fun to the max.
The wedding ceremony took place in the courtyard under the tree which was pretty useful as this was when the rain arrived :-) Canapes were served at the rear terraced area where the guests were entertained by the awesome Hicksville swing wandering musicians. It's always a photo rich occasion when the guests start joining in the songs with this band. At the close of the drinks reception everyone moved over to the barn for the evening meal. The barn at the Chateau Rigaud is really quite something when it's lit with all it's candles lighting the beautifully laid tables. Such a stunning space to walk into, magic happening right there.
The food, as usual, was exceptional. The in-house Chef's produce some mouth watering dishes sourced from local produce and also from within the Chateau's own vegetable gardens. A more than welcome perk of being a wedding photographer here in France is of course the food. Speeches were spoken, laughs were laughed and not a few tears were shed. Speeches, one of my fave parts of the day. Later on in the evening Hicksville swing were back in action transforming from wandering minstrels to stage band belting out tunes to get everyone throwing those shapes on the dance floor.
