I'm lucky enough to have this wonderful venue on my doorstep in the beautiful Bordeaux vineyards. Great place to photograph around with a Chateau just bursting with character and life.
Le Manoir du Bout du Pont, a 16th century Manoir house originally owned by the Knight Templars, is without doubt my closest venue, 10 minute drive, or 11 minutes downhill on my push bike :-) I love shooting at Le manoir, it has a great homely feel to it, like you've known it all your life but also for the oh so many permutations of where to hold the ceremony, the drinks reception and the meal. For every wedding I've shot there I think the layout of the day has been different every single time. Plus of course I am biased but the area around Le Manoir is just so beautiful and with so much to do on those balmy summer evenings in the French countryside it is just an ideal venue to hold a destination wedding.
I think I covered my first wedding at the Chateau de la Couronne back in 2012 and have been lucky enough to have been back every year since then to enjoy the delights of this super chic Chateau. There's always such a warm welcome from Nicky and Mark, the Chateau owners and hosts, that you can't help but to fall in love with this place just a little bit more with each visit.
Another atmospheric wedding venue only 30 minutes away for me. The Chateau de St Paul is an absolute delight to photograph from their very own Chapel, stunning lodge houses for all your guests, a courtyard that is the heart of the venue, a French country rustic reception hall dining experience and dancing under the stars. Photographically, spoilt for choice.
